Our stay in San Destin at the Luau was wonderful.  The western views of the sunset were amazing.  One great surprise was the fact that from the balcony we could see both the Gulf of Mexico to the south and the Bay to the North.  The condo was in great condition.  The air-conditioning worked wonderfully. All the kitchen appliances were in good condition.  The Luau pool was very relaxing and the walk to the beach was simple and fast.

There were plenty of local restaurants in Destin to choose from.  Some of the best are “The Crab Shack” and “The Back Porch.”  Shopping is great as well with the outlet mall only a mile away from the San Destin resort.

Yes, we really had a good time at Sandestin.  We appreciated the quick response to our problem of loading our GPS to Sandestin and you answered that we should program Miramar Beach instead.  And we also appreciated the quick response on how to ‘work’ the shower.

We enjoyed eating at Captain Dave’s on the beach side, the best.

We loved looking at the flora and all the beautiful landscape of the area.

Our corner condo let us see the sunrises and the sunsets…a real treat.

There is quite a lot to do just at the Westwinds – pool (heated which is a real plu), the easy direct beach access, the Tiki Bar for food/drinks.

We enjoyed the Village which is part of the broader complex.  The workout facilities were a definite must have for us and we used every day.

As far as leaving the complex – We had an amazing tour on Wave Runners/with Dolphines – that I felt was well worth the money (Boogie was the name of the company I think).  They are located next to the bridge and we enjoyed walking around the shops there also.

We did not get time to go to the outlet malls – but another definite plus for a vacation.

The Process – with the pass codes and the emails from you just before the trip as reminders was perfect.  Everything worked as planned.

Dear Vacation Haven,

My family and I had a wonderful visit.  We LOVE the Bungalos.  They are a perfect distance to Baytowne Wharf by foot or bicycle.  We walked to dinner every night.  (Be sure to bring a small flashlight or download a free flashlight app. on your phone.  You will need it if you walk home after dark.) The Bungalos are surprisingly quiet.  A nice contrast to the lively atmosphere of Baytowne Wharf.  This is a PERFECT family vacation destination.  My 86 year old mother-in-law loved it as much as my 16 and 21 year old girls.  Something for every age.

We are looking forward to next year!

The condo was absolutely stocked better than home…..The owner has thought of everything…the décor is perfect….the view was lush and tropical….the best you could have at lobby level….being lobby level is great too…. I never had a problem with the keyless entry….never had to drive out of Sandestin if you didn’t want to….

We loved the condo. The rental was easy and the beach toys were very helpful. We may have left a few clothes at the condo. Just give them to charity. We like the Marlin Grill, the Broken Egg and the park, as the kids (Josh – 7, Riley age 9.5) call it. The park is the village and the playground. Both of them did the high climb thing. We enjoyed Bahia 4210 tremendously!  Beside the wonderful accommodations, we appreciated your caring and willingness to move our dates from 3/15-21 to 3/18-25 due to the death of my stepfather.  That meant so much to us and though we were sad to say good-bye to him, the beach was just the right place to begin our healing journey.  We also appreciate the ease of your check-in procedure.  Yes,we will stay with My Vacation Haven again.

We enjoyed our 12th year in Westwinds, the past 3 or 4 years in unit 4772.  We love being on the west side of the building and enjoy the Baytowne golf course and Gulf of Mexico views.The new lamp shades in the bedroom are greatly appreciated and we noticed the paint job on the armoire in the second bedroom.   The new bed linens and flat screen televisions are nice too. We feel the unit should have two more chairs.  The dining table seats six, but there are only four chairs.  Thank you, My Vacation Haven, for loaning us two folding chairs the past two years.
We enjoyed a very nice meal at Ocean Club, thanks to the gift card from My Vacation Haven.  We had not been there for several years and now look forward to going back next year. We also tried the 30 A Cafe for the first time, also a good experience.  The eating places on the property can’t be beat, close and good happy hours.

Walking on the beach is my favorite pastime.  Golf is the favorite for Tom, not as much for me.  We both golfed Baytowne, Links and Raven courses they year.  Meeting old and new friends is always good.

We had a wonderful vacation. The unit was perfect. Loved the layout. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and “have their own corner”. We will definitely stay here again. Loved the keyless entry too! No key to keep up with. This was not our first trip to San Destin so we had our usual spots to dine – Poppy’s, Another Broken Egg, Louis Louis (love not having to drive out to Grayton), and Graffiti’s.

Overall we had a great visit and were very pleased with the service provided by My Vacation Haven.

8550 Turnberry Court was perfect  for me and my girls. The decor was without compare and the spaciousness was so enjoyable especially when traveling with teenage girls!. It had every amenity we needed including a great kitchen, convenient laundry room, and a magnificent master suite.  We loved being so close to the Baytown Village and the beach access was super convenient. Everything we could have asked for was within reach!

We have been coming to Sandestin for 11 years.  We usually rent through VRBO, so we’ve dealt directly with the owners and a couple times with management companies.  My Vacation Haven is one of the best with which we’ve dealt.  They fixed maintenance trouble immediately, and kept us up to date on happenings in the area.  The whole process is done professionally.  The coupons and information you leave in each condo is great and money saving.  I wish you had more pet friendly places available.

We liked the Beach Club during their two-for-one dinner on Sunday late afternoon. Pompano Joe’s was fun regarding the beach atmosphere.  Mitchell’s Fish Market had delicious food that was very fresh and tasty, too.

Shopping at the outlet mall was enjoyable because the prices were wonderful on many items; especially clothing.  The merchants were courteous and eager to please, too.

The rental process was efficient and attended to all things that we needed in a timely fashion. The directions to the unit were easy to follow.  We liked being able to communicate by email and especially liked having pictures of the unit online.

We were with 7 other families and everyone stayed in the Tivoli area so we were all close. My experience renting and the ease of doing this was very pleasurable and not complicated. The instructions for arrival and departure were easy to understand. I did love the key pad too. We have been coming to Destin, FL for 11 years. We’ve rented from individuals, real estate companies, other managing companies and found that My Vacation Haven is one of the best managed rentals we’ve experienced.  We had a couple maintenance problems and they were at the condo within the hour to fix it.

As far as the Destin and Sandestin area there is a lot to do.  We’re a retired couple and like to golf.  We’ve found that Indian Bayou and Windswept Dunes, and Golf Garden are the best buys for the money.

There are many restaurants that are good……..those along Scenic 98, also: Fat Clemenza, Ciao Bella, Ocean Club, and Mitchell’S Fish House, Dewey Destin, Harbor Docks to name a few.  We also enjoy restaurants along 30A and in the town of Seaside there are several good ones and all the way to Alys Beach there is George’s.

We really enjoyed our visit. The unit was very nice and had everything the six of us needed. Reasonably priced and very close (5 minute walk) to Baytowne Wharf. I have stayed at numerous places in Sandestin and if you don’t have to have the view of the beach, this was as good as any.

We enjoyed one evening at Rumrunners on Baytowne Wharf where the dueling pianos were quite entertaining. Outside the complex I always enjoy a good seafood dinner at Pompano Joe’s right on the beach. For breakfast, the Donut Hole is hard to beat. The remainder of the time we dined “in”, as the unit had everything we needed.

The entire process of checking in/out was very easy and painless, and everyone was very accomodating. I would definately use “My Vacation Haven” again.

Ourfavorite Dining in Destin is either Ocean Club (first choice), or  Marina Cafe. For home cooked meals we like the Donut Hole for lunch or supper.  Breakfast is always good there!Another Broken Egg is also a breakfast favorite. For Bar food, we like Busters, Crab Trap and Pompano Joe’s.  Kids always like Fudpuckers. The best Pizza, for a reasonable price is Bud and Alley’s in Seaside. The pizza in Baytown tastes like frozen from Walmart.  Fat Clemenza’s is good, but not as good as the above that we liked.

Kids love the Track and miniature golf (in the resort), although we found the golf pricey.  We are tennis players, but the fees to join and play in the resort are too much for us.  We would play every day, if we could fine something less expensive.  My husband loved the fishing on the resort. We very much enjoyed the Baytown experience.

Next visit we plan to rent a pontoon boat on the bay.

To My Vacation Haven,

We are from the Mid-West, so fresh seafood was really a treat for us. Seafood restaurants we enjoyed were: Dewey Destins Seafood Restaurant, The Back Porch, Fisherman’s Wharf, Fudpuckers (for lunch) a fun place with good food, Mitchell’s Fish Market-for a special evening, Two other good restaurants were: Tuscany Italian Bistro, Cuvee Bistro.

We are older, so some of what we enjoyed may not be interesting to a younger group.

We loved walking the beautiful grounds of Sandestin, walking on the beach, enjoying the pool, the beautiful views from our balconies, exploring Sandestin resort and the village area, exploring Seaside & Rosemary Beach, the Harbor area in Destin, and checking out the different golf courses.

The rental process was easy.

Beachside II – unit 4349 is our favorite place to stay – the view is amazing.  We had a few things that needed fixing on our arrival.  Your staff  are all very helpful and took care of our problems. Overall, our stay was great.  Here’s a few of the eating places we visited and enjoyed…..Cuvee Beach…..loved the 1/2 price appetizers and drink specials.  We also visited the barbecue place right across from the resort (Lillies Q) and used the coupon you sent for a buy one, get one free sandwich.  We all agreed, the barbecue was great and we will go back. We are planning a return to Destin in June and will contact you about renting this unit again.

We had a great vacation!!  This is the 2nd time we have used My Vacation Haven and stayed at Westwinds.  We are in love with Westwinds and San Destin.  We have 2 young boys who loved the ocean and the set up of the pool.  The pool was even warm enough to swim in in October.  They love riding the trolly to the Village to go eat have have ice cream.  The playground at the village is wonderful!  Both times we stayed we called My Vacation Haven for a small maintenance request and they were there within the hour.  The reservation process was also very simple.  We will definately use them again.

We had a wonderful trip and really loved the separate rooms.  Our teens loved their own “apartment”/ suite.  We will definitely stay here again, as the walk to the beach was minimal and the suite was fairly new.

We had a great time in Sandestin…we loved most everything (except the jellyfish).  We were there during the off season so it was pretty quiet.  We saw deer off of our balcony each morning and the condo and grounds were beautiful.  We really enjoyed the restaurants and shops in Harbor Village.  We had great food at Hammerheads, but extremely slow service.  The gentleman working at the Aloha Surf Company was very nice and helpful.  Loved the guard cat at the door.  We really had a great time.  Easy acces to the beach, which was beautiful. We have been to Destin several times. This year was our first time renting through My Vacation Haven and we were very pleased with the rental process.  What we enjoy most when we come are our morning walks on the beach.  We also enjoy trips to Seaside and all of the Destin shopping.  This year we also spent an evening at Harbor Walk. We always spend an evening at the Crab Trap and the night before we leave we order Jordano’s pizza.  We were very pleased with our unit.  Thank you for an enjoyable rental experience.  We will certainly return.

Our stay was very pleasant – the facilities were great and Westwinds as a whole was wonderful.   We liked being able to walk to the beach in just a few minutes and know that it was a safe area and others on the beach were from condos too. We would like to have had access to a vending machine so we could get a Coke instead of going back to our room.   It was clean and just beautiful.

We ate at Another Broken Egg (loved it), P. F. F Chang’s (loved it), Cheeseburger Paradise (loved it), Bubba Gump’s Shrimp(loved it), Donut Hole (loved it), had pizza from the place in the outlet mall (loved it), and also ate at Cantina Laredo (food was great but too spicey for our Tex-Mex taste buds).   And we got hot Krispy Kreme donuts on our way out of town Monday morning.

We will definitely stay with you again if we come to the Destin area!

We had a great time!  There were no problems with the condo, everything was great.  We would go to shrimpers (fresh seafood) daily and get fresh fish and scallops and then cook them ourself for dinner in the condo, it was great and so much better than eating out all the time.  It would be nice if there were a table on the deck, perhaps a folding one, so we could eat meals outside.  We would love to use you again in the future!

We had the best vacation ever there last week.  My sister got married aboard the Solaris on a clear, beautiful day.  Most of my family stayed in Sandestin (including two different condos in Westwind).  The other condo was much fancier and up to date, but 4821 had the best views!  I would definitely come back again. I’m actually a native of the area, born and raised in Ft. Walton Beach.  I have been living away from my family and the area I love the most in this world.  Coming back and having the experience of staying in the Sandestin resort gave me a new perspective.  I will always think of that as Paradise. Thank you for being so helpful to me.  I initially reserved a larger unit for just the weekend but ended up needing only one bedroom as my children and grandchild could not come. Martha assisted me and got me into the smaller unit so we could stay for the entire week with very little change in rental cost.  This is service I would not have received if I had booked through VRBO or similar sites.  I have already recommended MVH to several people.

One of the coolest things we experienced was seeing the dolphins on Sunday
- they were leaping high out of the water playing.

We saw three gorgeous sunsets and the water was crystal clear. My daughter found an intact sand dollar in the water – first time that has happened. My Vacation Haven emailed our information very quickly with all the information we needed. It was one of the smoothest processes we have had. I also really appreciated the email you sent requesting confirmation that we had received the information we needed. You definitely have it fine-tuned to a well-oiled machine! We just printed the information out and had everything at our fingertips before we left! It was a very smooth process. We will certainly recommend My Vacation Haven to anyone going to Destin! Westwinds 4822 is an awesome unit and we will recommend it! We also love your website – being able to go online and look at the condos and read about them is a really nice feature. Your pictures are great. We definitely hope to come down again. On another note, if we are every blessed enough to have a unit your company would be our choice! My wife and I had a great time staying at Westwinds.  The condo was as expected, but the vistas/views of the beach and the resort/bay area were phenominal.  The west end of this building is definitely the preferred end.  Also, being on the 14th floor gives you enough height to see a long way…..great stuff.

Regarding the rental process, the actual process is very easy and efficient.I did find the rental process very smooth, the staff very professional, and clearly you have people with great marketing and business skills running the company. I would rent again in the future

The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and Destin Health & Fitness Club invite all runners and walkers to participate in the inaugural 5K Race for the Arts on November 5 starting at 8:30 a.m. to benefit youth development in art education.   A 1 Mile Kid’s Fun Run geared towards kids of all ages will begin upon conclusion of the 5K.  The race course features an out and back course beginning near the entrance of the Mattie Kelly Cultural Arts Village located at 4323 Commons Drive West directly between Home Depot and Wal-Mart and behind Destin YMCA and Grace Lutheran Church.   Race participants will run east on Commons Drive before winding through the residential golf community of Kelly Plantation.  This is a flat course suitable for both first time and experienced runners and walkers.  While most of the course is on paved asphalt roadways, participates will complete the final 100 yards on a grass field through a chute that leads to the post-race celebration on The Village Green.  Event planners have designed the post-race celebration party for the entire family featuring live music, refreshments, beer, massage therapy, kid’s activities and more.  Young children  can enjoy Tringas Fort, an onsite playground. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit although it was way too short for us.  Accommodations were excellent and happy with how clean everything was.  Management was easy to deal w/during booking.  We would come back again and have signed up for Beach Bonus where you get the discounts on future bookings. We had a marvelous time at your property in SanDestin Beachside #2.  Great location and perfect space to enjoy the Beach. The best restaurant was the Harbor Docks and the smoked yellow fin tuna dip was amazing!  We went on Thursday night and the House Band, Dred Clampett was really wonderful and available each Thursday night on the outside Sushi Deck at Harbor Docks.  Highly recommend this for anyone on a Thursday; however, Yellow Fin tuna dip – any day!!!! Outlet shopping at Silver Sands is not to be missed – great way to spend those overcast/rainy days. Also great for a beachside eating experience is the Pompano Joe’s, a little bit of a wait on the weekend, but worth it!! The beaches of Destin / Sandestin are the best in the world – has been my vacation spot of choice since 1967! Thanks for the beautiful, comfy stay at your vacation rental.  The process was very easy to handle online and by phone.  Staff were very accomadating with getting the agreement/contract info back to your office.  The stay was comfortable and we would stay again.  The only down side was that it rained each day but what better place to be to enjoy the view even in the rain.

Everything was great from reservations to the view of the ocean from the condo!  We enjoyed Westwinds and will look to rent their again.  We appreciate how smoothly the rental process was and how easily available you were for questions. Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed dinner at Finz next door. Lovely evening, sunset right at our table.  Rental process, as always, easy!  We took a flag to the Topsail tennis courts on Sept 11, 2011 – we had been there on the morning of Sept 11, 2001. Of course we will be back! Would love to be kept abreast of any good deals that come available at Beachside II-4268. We may come at Christmas this year if we have a good price.  Thanks for letting me share.

Greetings!  What a fantastic trip!!  We stayed August 25th – 29th.  The Westwinds 4803 unit was REALLY nice! And of course the beach was the best!

Dining Establishments: Mitchell’s Seafood was delicious and I would definitely recommend it. Great food and really good attentive service. Tommy Bahama’s Cafe was equally delicious and they give you ALOT of food for the money, altho the menu seems pricey. Carrabba’s is always delicious.  Have never had a bad meal there.
Fun Things We Experienced: Well, we didn’t do a whole lot outside of lazing around on the beach and by the pool, but frankly that was PLENTY.  We really appreciated that 4803 had four REALLY NICE beach chairs to use (we used them each day), it makes a world of difference to sit in something nice!! We walked around Baytowne Wharf and it was the coolest little hidden spot!  The lady at Tom’s Seashells & Gifts (at Baytowne Wharf) was an absolute joy to visit with, and she was very helpful.  I regret that we didn’t get her name, she was so friendly and nice!
Rental Process: Was without a doubt the easiest process!  Just like last time… smooth and seamless.  You all make it SO EASY!!  My sister even asked if My Vacation Haven rents condos in other cities because “they are so easy to work with”. 
Blog, Facebook, Twitter: We do not use Facebook or Twitter but I DO look at your website pretty frequently.  It would be helpful to see a diagram of where each condo is located relative to the pool and beach.  For instance, the Westwinds building is sort-of hexagon-shaped…. it would be helpful to know if the condo is DIRECT front or off to the side, etc.  Our condo was great but we wished that maybe it was more central overlooking the pool & beach. The photos aren’t too deceiving but it WOULD be helpful to know if the condo is “one off” or “two off” from the direct beachfront.
Would we come back: Absolutely!!  Again and again.  This is my 3rd time to Destin (2nd time to book with you) and we discussed at length making this a regular destination trip, so we will definitely be using MVH again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beachside I.   The condo was clean and the view was beautiful.  We, particularly, enjoyed the early moring dolphin and whale watching from our balcony.  We will difinitely book next year and hopefully get the same condo. Our best meal of the week was Bubba Gump’s.  I wasn’t sure about going to that restaurant, but the food was excellent and the service was also. My Vacation Haven was very helpful in booking the arrangements.  I have already recommended you and San Destin Resort to my friends and co-workers.

Loved staying with you, guys. Hope to do it again next year. We ate at Village Door, in Baytown. Great service and food. The Big Kahuna water park was the highlight of the trip. Your rental process is absolutely the best. A young lady spent a lot of time helping me find the right unit and it paid off. I wish I recalled her name, super sweet…I think I’m already on
the beach bonus program, please confirm.

Condo was very nice.  Minor item of coffee pot not working; however, they tended to it immediately.  Like the tile floor…no carpeting as it’s easy to keep clean.  Kids loved the bunk bed, plenty of room on the top bunk to be able to sit up.  Very comfortable.  Older daughter didn’t like the trundle. 

Renting through here and not doing throught the resort saved over $1000 and definitely worth it.  Couldn’t use the other pools, but Westwinds pool is very nice and the other pools are too far anyways…even by tram provided by the resort.  Beach is the nicest I’ve ever seen anywhere!!  Feels like you’re walking on flour.  Went crabbing at nice…cool thing to do, never done that before!  Also, went deep sea fishing through Olin Marler and did Big Kahuna.  Oh yea, we went to Milton and canoed!!! That was awesome!!!  It was 1 hour drive, but worth it.  Kids loved it!!!

Though each individual community has limitations on pool use by guests who are not in that community; there are two other pools on property that you have access to.  The SOA  (Sandestin Owners Association ) pool at Fairways and Heron Walk.  Both of these are located on the Bay sdie of the resort.

We had a great stay. Had friends that stayed on the 2nd floor that did not book through you that had quite a few problems regarding their stay that we did not encounter. We had a wonderful dinner at Bijou Bistro and also ate at Cantina Laredo where we had the best Mexican food I have had in a long time! Accomodations were very good…We will recommend booking through your company to friends and will very likely use you again as well.

Dined at Cafe 30A - The yellowfin tuna served rare was amazing!

Shopped at the local outlet stores.

And of course enjoyed to pool and beach.

We enjoyed the Back porch for dinner and also the Crab Trap…  Absolutely loved the condo!  We will be back next year!  Would love to see the owner consider building a pantry in the area by the dining table…  Loved the 6 digit coded door…  It was really nice to not have to deal with a room key!  Check-in was a breeze and since the room was clean, we got in early which was nice!  I appreciated that the pool was monitored for bracelets to keep only the people there that should be there…
