About the Community of Luau
Just steps away from the beach is your Destin vacation destination, the Luau condominium. At the ground level, this property is home to plush landscaping which leads to the lagoon-style pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, swim-under waterfall, a Tiki and snack bar (open seasonally), and community grilling area. The pool deck area offers views of the Gulf of Mexico and its famous sugar white sand beaches. At the Luau condominium towers, you’ll enjoy additional amenities like gated and partially covered parking, high speed WiFi, a large fitness center overlooking the pool, community laundry facilities, and a spacious lobby area. The accommodations have studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom units with full-size kitchen appliances (with the exception of studios) and open floor plans. The majority of the condos in the Luau towers provide panoramic views ranging from the Choctawhatchee Bay to the Gulf of Mexico to the Tops’l Preserve. Amenities such as golf, tennis, biking, boating, water sports & more are available locally at additional costs.

    This property was very well maintained. The sofa bed was kind of worn but it didn't take anything away from our trip. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay. The only bad thing was it said no pets but there were animals in the building.

    Great stay at this condo for our family of 4. Great location, short walk to the beach. The unit is well kept. We really liked that 4 chairs and an umbrella were provided in the closet for us to use at the beach. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook all our meals throughout the week. The bed in the bedroom was comfortable but the sofa bed mattress in the living room could use an upgrade…my kids were very uncomfortable sleeping on it. Overall great place to stay and would definitely book this unit again!

    This was the cleanest and best vacation home to stay at. Close to the beach. The support from vacation haven was impeccable. They answered any questions I had and made sure I knew all the information. There was beach equipment that you could use. Was very quiet area. Everything in the area that you could need!! Will definitely be back!!

    My kids and I really enjoyed the stay here. It was just enough space, clean and close to the beach. We could wake up and hear and see the ocean. The pool was clean and well kept, the condo itself was also clean. The only recommendation is maybe a few more items to cook with for those who like to make big meals. But other than that we would stay here again!! Thank you!!

    We enjoyed our stay, condo was just as pictured and was spotless! Proximity to the beach was great and a short drive to other popular areas. Patio furniture and beach chairs could use an upgrade but they were provided so we were grateful for that! We would definitely stay again!

    This unit was compact but had all of the essentials, including an efficiency washer/dryer. The unit was clean and fairly well kept. The view is fairly nice as well. The pool can't be beat and the distance to the beach is great. We enjoyed the outside gas grills as well.

    I stayed as a single occupant attending a nearby conference. This place was clean, located a very short walk to the beach (no golf cart required!), had a tram pickup location right outside the gate, and of most importance to me, was very quiet and peaceful even though I had loud neighbors across the hall. I couldn't even hear them once I was inside the condo. The keyless entry is fantastic and convenient. They even provide a rudimentary beach chair and umbrella inside the closet for you to take to the beach. I found the lookout to be peaceful, you can still see the ocean from the porch. The pictures don't do it justice, it is quite large and has doors that separate every room. The kitchen was extremely clean. Having a gated entry to the resort also adds another small element of safety and I felt very safe walking around in the evenings.

    The vacation rental is very accommodating to everything necessary for a relaxing family vacation. The grounds of Sandestin are very well maintained and a pleasure to wake up to on a daily basis. The view was very nice from the unit. The kitchen bedrooms and living room were all well equipped. The unit was clean. The elevators were not a problem getting up and down quickly. We always found a parking space covered near the elevator despite the crowds. Would definitely recommend!

    Nice, clean condo with decent ocean view for being “2nd” tier to the beach. Small walk to beach with many accommodations once on the beach. Located in a really nice gated community. Very nice pool with lots of seating and a waterfall. It slept nicely for our family of 5. Our 5 year old slept with us in the Master, our 2 oldest slept on the fold out couch. Jack and Jill bathroom got a little crowded but wasn’t a problem. All and all I would definitely recommend this unit.

    Our trip was great! The condo was clean & had just a short walk to the beach. The bed was very comfortable! We didn’t utilize the shuttle, but it would definitely be worth it to use if you didn’t want to drive everywhere!

    The washer knob was hard to use because the panel wasn’t secure. Once we figured out to use it (push really hard to spin it) it was fine! The balcony door also didn’t lock. Neither of these effected our trip.

    We had a great stay & would definitely visit again! Great location, clean, and comfortable!

    Vacation Haven was easy to rent from. The condo was clean, nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was bigger than I expected and had plenty of dishes, cups, utensils. You could see the ocean (albeit a hotel in front of it) from the small porch, but was nice to get a glimpse from your condo unit. The 4th floor was a smart choice for quickly taking stairs, however, I bet there are even better views from the higher floors. I would have preferred being on the pool side of building to see the sun set, but truly this particular condo was a great choice.

    Great location - just a short walk to the beach. Adorable beachy decor. Only negative is lack of lighting. Too dark to read a book at night sitting on the sofa. You have to sit at the table or go in the bedroom where there is better lighting.

    Nice Condo! Only drawback is not directly on the beach. But short walk. Short walks can be long when hauling beach gear! Parking is also very very tight , if you have a SUV or Full Size Truck. Overall, I'd reccomend this condo to others. Even with the condo not being on the beach , the location was alot better than most of the other options in the resort that our traveling party stayed at.

    Great Family Beach Vacay

    My family of four stayed for three nights in this beautiful condo, located less than 3 min from the beach. The amenities always allow us feel as if we were at home. The kids always have a blast at the pool, playing under the waterfall. We always enjoy staying at the Luau!

    This is a very nice condo. Our party had an emergency and had to leave early. Vacation Haven was so nice to help us with partial refund.

    If you like a firm mattress the bed in this unit is not for you. It was soft and squishy and I was anxious to get back home to my own firm mattress. Other than that, our stay was great.

    Our little condo was perfect for my husband and I. Of course, if it were on the beach, it would have been even more perfect. However, you could see in the distance the ocean and that was nice.
    Would stay there again..... pool was nice and everything very clean.

    I had actually booked a different condo on the 10th floor in the same building. The owner of the other condo bumped us 3 weeks out so the rental agency changed us to this condo. It was very nice and clean and we were thankful to have a place to stay. The kitchen was well stocked and the furnishing were nice. The only issue we had was the bathroom. We were there for a wedding and several events associated with it. The bathroom was a good size but had only one sink and very little counter space( Maybe a foot on each side of the sink. There were no cabinets or drawers. Extra towels in a basket on the floor under the sink and the only mirror in the whole place was the small one over the sink. It made getting ready a challenge for one person and practically no way for two people to be in there at the same time. However, if we had just been there for vacation and planning to be on the beach all day it wouldn’t have been as much of an issue. The rest of the condo was very nice.

    We are never disappointed when we stay at the Luau. When we come to the beach, it's the only place we stay here in the Destin area, and it's been that way for five years. It's always clean and it feels like you're at home. I love the convenience of the beach while toting beach equipment with small children. I would highly recommend to anyone
